I have a 97, so my speedo is purely mechanical, and is adjusted via a $10 VSS gear. Which I did myself.

But two local dealers told me it would require adjustment to the ECU, as did a local speedometer shop. And the cheapest price I was quoted was $300. Which isn't too far off from a Superchip programmer...
so your saying, if i have a 97 f150 xlt, i can change my speedometer mechanically and i dont need to have it done electronically? nice!
