P0405 - EGR low voltage

Interesting code - no cabling to the EGR valve.

P0405 - EGR low voltage.

However, i realize there is still a problem. I've removed the EGR valve and cleaned it and the throttle body. Could the EGR sensor be the cause? If so, is it located on the tube from the EGR valve to the Exhaust?

Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty sure this is the same DTC I had a couple of months ago I took it to the Ford dealership and they fixed it for free, my problem was a faulty EGR sensor I think they said but the part had been covered under warranty up through I believe 42,000 miles do to an extension of the emissions warranty. Hope this helps.

The DPFE sensormonitors the exhaust flow through the EGR valve. The valve itself has no electronics.
