timing
Hey everyone. my names joe, i got a problem. i got a 94 f150 with a 302. the timing is off. how do i time these things. ive got enought money for the timing gun but not the mechanic. im a broke college kid. HELP!!!!!!!!

There is a trick to get it quite close without a lite.
Bring #1 cylnder up on compression then to the 30 degree mark before top center.
Adjust the distrubutor so the rotor tip is center of the #1 plug wire terminal and lock in place.
If you later check with a lite and the spout removed you should see the timing very close to 10* the stock setting.
