02 Screw won't remote start when cold

Since its started getting cold here in PA I've been using my remote starter to start my truck in the morning. I've had the remote starter installed for a couple years but only use it in the winter. This year when I started using the remote starter it doesn't seem to want to start my truck when its below 35 degrees or so. If its warmer its no problem, starts up as it should. My remote starter will try three times before giving up. So one time when I noticed it wasn't starting I jumped in and lightly touch on the gas when it was cranking over and it started right up. Seems now that its getting cold I need to touch the gas a bit to start it (never had to do this before). This obviously defeats the purpose of having a remote starter if I've got to touch the gas to start it.

I'm not too mechanically inclined but seems that there should be some easy fix for this. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

just installe a ford remote start and keyless entry in my screw also. one thing to check, the module must learn what rpm you idle at, maybe it needs to be reset, what brand do you have? do you have the manual? how many miles are on the truck? maybe it is just getting harder to start, time for maintence? plugs, fuel filter, intake? also check your Tps voltage as this will effect startup rpm.

I just starting having the same problem, I dont remember it happening last year when I first got the starter. I dont have to hit the gas though, it just has to turn over a few more times. As soon as I jump in the truck and turn the key it starts up just fine.
I have the temperture display in my truck, and it only happens when its 30 or below. I have the viper 790. Havn't did any troubleshooting yet though.
