Which engine is better? 5.0 vs 5.8

NEED ADVICE!!

I am considering buying a F150 and am wondering which engine is better. I found a really nice rust free Eddie Bauer 1995 XCAB 4x4 1/2 ton with 166,000 miles for $3200. It has the 5.8L engine. Is this a better or worse engine than the 5.0? Please advise on this or other things I should look for in this truck. ALso, what is your gas mileage experience with the 5.8?

I appreciate the replies!! Mark

What experience I have with the 351 is that the mileage is close to the 302 under normal driving but it does run a bit stronger. Don't expect much in the way of mileage though.

Hope that helps

There is no substitute for cubic inches. Go big.
