Rough Starting V6

I'm new to this board, so thanks for having me...haha.

I have a 2001 F150 V6 just turned 50k. This week I noticed it starting a little slow. I have to turn it over 2-3x, vice only 1x for the past 30k.

Is it time for a Tuneup? and if so, what do I need to replace.

I can't speak the terminology very well, but I'm pretty mechannically inclined, so I should understand what needs done.

Thanks

SpanKy

Start by buying a Haynes or Chiltons manual. Then, change the fuel filter, plugs, and check the resistance on the wires. If even one is bad replace the whole set.Go back with factory Motorcraft plugs. Also, clean your throttle body,IAC,and MAF sensor.Add a can of SeaFoam or Lucas fuel cleaner to a full tank of gas and run until empty. Also, check your pcv lines to and from the pcv valve, esp. the rubber boot under the throttle body. These usually get holes or cracks and should be checked every tune up. BTW,welcome to the board!
