Cylinder 5 Misfiring need help

My 2000 F150 4.6l V8 check engine light came on and i could feel a hestiant when taking off and at about 55 with the gas slightly pressed it shaked, so i went to auto zone and he said the the 5th cylinder is misfiring so i bought new oluugs but relaized how big of a pain it is to change them i was wondering if anybody knew what postion is the 5th cylinder or knows all the cylinder locations. Or if this may be the coil or something else any help would be appreciated.

sounds like the notorious coil failure problem.
do a search and you'll find tons of info.

#5 is driver's side, closest to radiator.

To add to Steve's post, the cylinders go like this:

4 - 8
3 - 7
2 - 6
1 - 5

Remove the power steering reservoir and mounting plate to make getting at the #5 coil a little easier.

The plugs are a pain to change, but just take your time. I had success with a combination of 2 - 3" and 2 - 6" socket extensions for the plugs. And a 7mm flex socket helped with the coil retaining screws.
