replacing spark plugs

I have a '90 f150 with a 5 L V8 engine (302 i think? correct me if i'm wrong). I need to change the spark plugs - problem is I don't have the vehicle manual so I'm not sure what the specs are for setting the gap, etc. I have bought eight new plugs according to the guide they have at the shop - but that's all I've done so far. This'll be my first time doing this so any help would be greatly appreciated! What do I NEED to do/keep in mind, how to set the gap, etc...thanks!

.044 is the gap, but some plugs come pregapped. If not you can get the gap tool for 1 dollor or so. I preffer the circular type.
