Banging noise when make tight turns
Banging noise when make tight turns
Sorry guys, i know this belongs in the suspension forum but after 98 reads no one has reasonded.
Heres the problem, when I make sharp turns you can feal and hear a banging noise in the front end. Im guessing that it's probably a U-Joint but i don't know which one or if thats even it.
Help!
Thanks,
Ryan

Prob. the constant velocity joint ( don't think they use U joints) on the outside end of the half shaft for the front wheel drive. They can dry out and bind up. ( just like the cv joints on front wheel drive cars.) Check the boot to see if it is still intact or if it is damaged. You might poss. see grease leaking out of it . Prob. the best guess I can make considering the symptoms. Can't imagine why none of the suspension guys didn't respond.
Does the sound repeat during the entire right turn? Or is it a one time sound when you start the turn? If it repeats the CV joint or bearing might be the cause. If it is a one time sound it might be a suspension bushing.
