Question what viscosity shoud i use with with winter coming on

hey, I have a 94 f-150 with a good old 302 and it has 108k miles. i was wondering if i should run 5w30 or 10w30. the owners manual says to run 10w30 in all temps above zero, but it says i can use 5w30 above 60 degrees. i was hoping to just use 5w30 with winter coming on, but it does get above 60 degrees here so what should i do. also what do you think about castrol gtx "start up"? is it any good, and would it hurt to mix it with dura lube?

piperc,

In 1994 Ford wrote the book in light of what oils were available at the time. You could easly get away with a 5W30 today in all temps.
