Hi, I"ve 97 f150 after putting a Gumout fuel injector cleaner drove the my truck for over 100 miles. "Check Engine came on" truck still on normal operation, except for one thing, so i went to autozone to rent or loaner the reader code, Plug reader and showing P1131 Manufacturer Control "Fuel Air Metering"I'm new stranger here any help would be greatly appreciated..

Not sure what code that is, but my Check engine light came on after I changed brands of gas- My mecahnic told me to disconnect the battery(for a few minutes-this will cancel the light) and drive it for several miles- let it get hot- and see if that works. It did, and never came on again. The mechanic said that even changing the octane might trigger a check engine light- which may be what you did by introducing the cleaner... just my .02

 

I just had the light on and off - it was the o2 sensor.

 

Hi, Thanks for replying my post, disconnected my battery and drove it to work then back home still check engine light on. I will try to check 02 sensor next. thank you.
