White smoke from exhaust

White smoke from exhaust

i have white smoke that is coming from the exhaust when i start my truck.....2002 screw.....it only last for a few seconds...is this normal?....im thinking not....i just had the cylinder coil replaced a few weeks ago....could it have anything to do with that?....any help would be greatly appreciated

does the smoke smell like fuel? does it go away as soon as you reach operating temp? no CESL? still run the same to you?

might just be mositure from your exhaust burning off. if everything else checks out OK i wouldn't worry to much about it, unless your coolant is slowly going down. then i would be concern that you have a leaking head gasket .

white smoke= moisture in exhaust
depends how bad it is here in southern Louisiana it is common but our humidity is 10000%

Some white smoke is normal depending on the temperature and humidity. If you have a lot more smoke than other trucks do at startup, you may have a problem. Also, if the smoke smells sweet, it is probably antifreeze leaking into the cylenders and burning.
