Whcih is the most complecated engine to repair? 4.6 or 5.4?

Which is the most efficent tower in means of mileage?

Which is the best for a truck of that size?

They're both basically the same animal. The variable cam timing system in the '04 5.4 might have it's own set of idiosyncrasies, but I haven't had one apart yet so I dunno.

Which is the most efficent tower in means of mileage?
Neither is going to get stellar fuel mileage with a load behind it. I averaged 10-12 mpg with a 5 or 6000 lbs truck and trailer attached to mine.


Which is the best for a truck of that size?
With the '04s weighing in at anywhere from another 500 to 700 lbs more than an '03 or '04 Heritage, I wouldn't even consider the 4.6 in that truck, but that's just me.
