What socket do I need to change plugs?

I'm settin' myself up to change the plugs myself on my '97 F150 4.6l, and I read here on this board about a Snap-On #S9720KA socket that works well.

The Snap-On socket is just shy of 6 inches long, but Craftsman sells a similar socket that I think is a little shorter than that, but is still a deep-well socket.

Do I NEED that 6" socket, or will a slightly shorter (and less expensive) socket work?

Thanks all!

Any standard spark plug socket will work.
The Snap-On is just very good quality. And the face that it is longer is helpful for those of us with plugs that are buring inside the engine like the 5.4 and 4.6 to keep the plug straight.
