Anyone Using Scanguage?

I saw this advertised in one of my magazines at www.scanguage.com so I ordered one yesterday.
Is anyone already using one of these?

Looks like it will give us with a 97 the same or more infor that some of the newer F-150's have with the newer instrument panel.

i've never seen or heard of it but it costs less than a code reader so if you only use it for that it will be worth it.
like 98flare54 said keep us posted on how it works

I tried out the SCANGUAGE today. In my opinion it works great.
Started the truck, plugged it in and it made a cpu connection within about 20-30 seconds. I set the engine size and took the truck for a drive. I saw rpm's, speed, water temp, ignition timing. mpg, and more stuff than I could read and still pay attention to driving.
When I got back to the garage I saw TRIP stuff like gas used, max rpm's, max mph, total time driven, distance driven, etc.
I also did a SCAN and it showed no codes pending with my engine.
I am running a SUPERCHIPS and their was no compatability problem.
I left it plugged in when I shut down and it turns itself off withing about 20 seconds.

Just a neat little toy.

I am bringing this back because I have used it for a couple of days and could not be more pleased. It is much better than a Code Reader, which it will do. It will also reset your check engine light codes.

Check out the site
www.scanguage.com

No, I do not work for them. In fact, I don't work anywhere. Twice retired is good.

Thanks for the heads up!

I don't know if you can answer this, but can you use it in multiple vehicles, or does it 'lock on' to yours?

Seems like a great product, and at a very good price.

It can be used in any vehicle with OBD II, with just a few exceptions.

Multiple vehicle use is simple. If you want to track gas mileage and usage it takes about 15 seconds to set the size of the engine.

T Ellenberger,

Thank you for the "heads-up". I ordered one Thurs. night. @ $100.00 delivered seemed like a "must have" toy, to me. I've been thinking of getting an RPM guage and really wanted a "real" temp guage to replace the "idiot light" equivalent that came from the factory. I'll be getting these PLUS a whole lot more for a great price.

Have you checked the accuracy of the MPG guage? Does it show the coolant temp going up and down? Was It easy to mount? Where did you mount it? Thanks in advance for any info/impressions you choose to post.

Bill

As of now it is sitting on my Expedition console that I installed in my F-150. I have not used the install tape (velcro tape) that came with the Scanguage yet. I am still deciding if I want a permanent install.
I have also wanted an accurate temp guage since I have been condsidering the purchace of the Mike Troyer electric fan kit and wanted to be able to set the fan start up acurately.

For $99.95 UPS shipping included I thought it was a good deal.
