Question 8 new coils, Inj ring kits, NOW WHAT?

I have a 2000 F150, 4.6 V8, 5 speed man, 88000miles. In Feb, without warning, it developed a severe miss, pulling a hill, and check engine light came on. Took it to local garage and found that a coil needed replaced. Ran fine until July 27, when same symptoms occurred. Had another coil replaced. Ran fine for a whole week, when another went bad. At this point I had the remaining 6 old ones replaced, and it was discovered that the injector rings need replaced. All that work was done, and after close to $1000.00 in parts and labor, and being out of the shop for 3 days, IT'S DOING IT AGAIN. Ideas...thoughts...help??

what about plugs and wires..... plugs are about due anyway, and i have seen lots of comments about wires failing in this timeframe too...... other ideas would include egr ports and pvc valve / hose leaks

Can you find out what the codes were/are? You can rule out wires as you have the COP ignition. We need to know what is casuing the coils to fail. What, if any, mods have you done to the truck? Has any other work been done to the truck lately?
