engine identification

I just bought a 1995 F-150 with a 5.8 V8.
How do I know if that engine is a 351 Cleveland?

I think the 351 Cleveland production stopped in the 70's (someone will correct me if I am wrong).

The 351 in your truck is a small block in the same family as the 302. It has the same bolt pattern for the trans housing as the 302/5.0 engine and shares many accessories. There is a different cam with a different firing order and the deck height is taller on the block.

Still a great engine that is very durable and capable of 350 hp without a huge outlay in $$ during a rebuild. I built a 450hp engine in the 80's that ended up in a plain-jane, SWB truck that would open your eyes.
