Cool Pinging and knocking proublem solved!

Pinging and fould plugs found there way into my truck!
It all started about a week ago. this pingging was driving me nuts!
The knock sensor in located behind the intake manifold where they use to put the old style pressure switches!
Go figure that?
The thing is impossable to get to without removing the plentum on the intake manufold and everything attached to it.
Replaced all the gaskets and found some electrolisis in the wiring harness at the fuel injectors. Ireplaced all the gaskets and the thing purrs like a kitten!
Just a little TLC.
1 loose air gap sylenoid gasket / and all the hoses/all other pertaining gaskets
2 stuck PCV VALVE
3 Non-functional knock sensor.

Thumbs up Runs like a new truck!

After spending 14 hours removing the intake manifold plentum and throttal body, clean machine and no proublems from Simi Valley to Lake Havasue. It was 125 degreese there , we went during a heat wave. 70 mph all the way. Knocking a bit until the computer caught up and took over! What a great truck! I think the next thing is to put a new exaust system in. I have a quote for 650.00 ,manufolds back. Is that a good price?
Any I solved the pingging proublem with a gasket set. I want to thank all of you that gave the valuable information that was required to repair my truck my self and save 2,200.00. I think i can use that mony for something else.
