96 f150 6 cyl...
prob has gotten to the point, truck wont start at all...
history;
truck would die (dead-dead) at speed from 30-70 mph and catch again and act normal. very unpredidtable.
sometimes would not start in the morning but eventually would start and run normal.
suspect ignition problem somewhere.
have replaced plugs, wires , dist cap and rotor.
have had auto-zone and oreilly's test coil and ignition module(passed). have had fuel lines blown out and filter replaced.
i can hear fuel pump-at either tank-cycle when key is turned on b4 start.
no prior issues...i'm lost.

POssibly.....fuel pump relay or eec relay or wires at them have green corrosion.......they should be on the drives side inner fender

 

does it turn over but not start?

I'm also having similar problems with my '91.

 

To HCMQ...
Cranks and cranks & never hit a lick.
Then miraculously (next day or after 10 minutes, I never know when) start and run.
Auto-zone codes : 171...174...320...1150.
As of today, runs fine but with check engine light on. planning on another diagnostic inna couppla days @ auto-zone again-hey it's free-..har
