I ran some through the vacuum line to the intake, it didnt seem to have much effect on my truck.

My mom's expedition supposedly started getting better mileage though (she said it had dropped a few MPGs and is back up to 16 or so).

For $5, it's worth a try IMO.

I ran half a can through the vacuum hose, let it set for 15 minutes and blew an impressive amount of smoke out when I restarted it.

I ran a can through a full tank of gas. About a month later, I had to take this truck for its first ever emissions inspection. The tech told me that was the cleanest running '88 model he'd ever tested.

foam

I heard it was the best thing since sliced bread. Put down 6 bucks and poured it in the vaccume line. guess what? non-event-nada-except for a weird smell. If your going to put something in the tank-try Lucas oil products. RKBA!

Personally I just like the smoke show. My truck doesn't have any problem and I didn't bother to keep track of mileage to see whether it improved. No problem with rough idle either but it seems even smoother than before. I buy Seafoam by the case now.

BTW, ask Temp1 about Seafoam, he loves this stuff even more than cognac.

My 1999 5.4L extended cab runs better when I put a can (16 oz.) of Seafoam in the fuel tank. I love the stuff...

Well,

I wanted to use sea foam on my 97 F150 4.6 but couldn't find around here (So Cal); followed a suggestion and used Chemtool B-12 in the same manner (succking some thorugh a vacuum line and putting some in the gas tank). No billows of smoke came out of my engine as reported, but there has an very noticeable increase in MPG, and I like to think in power as well, but my dynobutt-o-mometer might be out of calibration...

I'll keep using it every once in a while, maybe along with oil change, these type of products have been used for a loooong time and I have not heard anything detrimental as of yet.

I'll recomend

The stuff is hard to find here in Phoenix Az also. I just picked up some from NAPA today. I think they are the only place that carries it here.
