Angry Other brand help? EGR Probs...websites wanted?!

NFTC here unfortunately unless I mention that my 4.6L is still running strong at 70K miles.... My apologies.

OK, I know that some of you also have brand X trucks....and I need some help. My son has a 95 4x4 Chebbie with a 350 that is throwing codes of 32=EGR problem... He's replaced the EGR valve and solenoid....to no avail.... and it's starting to bug the hell out of me.....

Do any of you have links to Chebbie truck boards like this great site??????? I'd be mighty greatful if you'd forward them to me.

The 350 "Vin K" PCM checks for EGR operation when the engine speed is greater than 1600 rpm, the engine vacuum is between 20 and 60 kPa or when there is no change in the throttle position for an extended period of time. A fault in the MAP sensor can also cause a vacuum to EGR problem, so check that too.

Other things to check and ponder:
Do you have vacuum at the valve? Vacuum should be less than 10" if over, replace EGR FILTER.
Did you replace the EGR filter on the solenoid?
Did you clean the passages on the block?

If that all checks out on solenoid connector:
A
B
C
D

Probe with 12 light tester pin A to ground. Light off? Repair open in circuit 439. If on, connect light to A&D. Light off? Repair open in ground circuit. If on, start engine and rev above 1600 RPM. If off you have either open in circuit 435 or a bad PCM.

May be a Chevy, but she's still made in America.

Thx!

Throttle,

Thanks!!! This is the sort of thing we've been trying to locate....

I know passages are clean, new heads etc. Filter may be an issue, will advise.

.....I hope that the darned intake gaskets had EGR passageways..... just one of them sinking thoughts......!

Anyway, will check this out!
Thanks!!!
Steve
