who makes the best dino oil?

who do you think makes the best regular dino oil for our 4,6 and 5.4 engines? castrol,mc,valvoline,havoline,pennz,quaker st. no synthetics just plain dino 5w30, 10w30,5w20?

One one had, I don't think it really matters too much if you are changing the oil every 3mo/3k miles. But, I generally use Castrol GTX.

I agree with APT, regular changes are your best friend (I go 5k miles). IMO, with regular changes your odds of ever having an oil related failure are pretty low.

If I was going to use a standard dino oil, I would use Motocraft oil. They have proven to give low wear numbers in order with the synthetics in oil analysis results.

Motorcraft isnt a dino oil, although is pretty cheap so of course you could use it.

I use Pennzoil and the motorcraft filter on my truck though, changed every 3000 miles.

Pretty much all dino oils will provide you with adequate protection between scheduled 5000 mile changes. I like Castrol GTX.
