Hey guys I am thinking about putting a weber 2 barrell carb on my 4.9Liter 300 inline six. I heard it will up the horseys and overall performance. Well anyways it has to be better than the stock Carter one barrel thats on there anyways. This and putting 3.55 gears on ought to help on overall performance. It has plenty of power the way it is I just want it to whoop all over some V8 guy for talking smack about my LEGENDARY 300.

It will likely help the engine in that its a better carb, the carters ford put on those things were nothing but a joke. However, don't be disappointed, that engine is a workhorse, but its not a racecar thats for sure. I had one,i tried to no end to whip *** with it, it wouldnt hold its own against a 4 cyl ranger. At any rate, it should run better.
