Question about head bolts

I just recently replaced a head on my truck.. and ended up messinng up the valves due to following the wrong instructions regarding timing. So now I need to pull off the head again and fix it.

My question: Are the head bolts I just bought and put on with the head now bad? Do I need to buy new ones everytime the head comes off? I only started the truck 2 or 3 times so I doubt it really heated up at all.

Thanks for the info.

Replace them. They're designed to stretch a certain amount and apply uniform pressure on the head. I have reused torque to yield bolts myself before, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone else. And besides, you've got it torn down to that point, might as well eliminate any chances of Murphy ruining your day.
