okay, the story goes, cooking down the highway and put my foot in it for any # of reasons and am greated by the throaty sound of my AF1 followed shortly by a light smell of hot oil. do a little looking and sure enough got a little leakage around the bell housing. does not look to be comming from above (i.e head gasket) but will continue to look. no puddles. crank case vent rattles when shaken. (?? could AF1 be over preasurizing block.)
( sounds like an excuse to expedite headers and 3" cat back )

my question is has anybody replaced the rearmain seal in a 97-99 expy 4.6l, auto, 4x4. gotta book, have the tools, like to wrench and know enough to ask for others info before I start.
