Temperature problem

I just replaced the water pump and the thermostat but my temperature is still fluxuating(sp). I just can't keep the engine in the normal temp range. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks in advance

You could either have installed a faulty thermostat or installed it backwards. You might also have some radiator tubes plugged or your fan is operating incorrectly.

Agree with Brian42.

Did you install the thermostate the correct way??

Temperture sender good??

Is the Fan clutch in good shape??

Is the radiator any good??

If all are good....then check for engine damage.

"still" would imply your other water pump and thermostat were fine. Decreased cooling capacity from radiator buildup is the first place I'd look.
