Your not getting any service codes? I would think the computer would let you know if a sensor has gone bad. Did you check for vaccum leaks?

There aren't any vacuum leaks, and where would I see service codes at? Could it possibly be the throttle body is going bad?

You may be losing your PIP signal from the Crankshaft Position Sensor. $39 part with only one bolt... I had similar problem with stalling. After the sensor was replaced I saw an increase in power, and better shifting as well. Another problem the sensor was causing was an intermittent bucking while cruising. It took Ford a couple of weeks to diag...

I had the dying problem with my '99 for about 85,000 miles. I would have to reset the computer every 8,000 and that would take care of it for another 8K. I know this sounds crazy but, I read it somewhere in this message board to try changing out the PCV valve. It was cheap so I tried it and have had no more problems in the last 40,000 miles. It's worth a try.
Good Luck.

bachelor622,

I feel your pain. I was that way too. A Haynes repair manual will go a long way to helping you find things. $15 at AutoZone.

I had a similar problem, different solution.

I had some loose connections on my K&N FIPK, which caused an intake air leak. No codes ever came up, just stalling.

I tightnened-up all the connections, and the problem went away.

Hunt4Fun i am going to invest in one of the manuals, i had an old mustang and that booked saved my *** a couple of times. I just bought the truck a couple months ago so I haven't got one yet. Also, I completely took of the intake kit and reinstalled it double checking all my connections and they are all good. I will check them again this weekend. Thanks guys.

Talking

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is next to the Crankshaft passenger side, next to the air compressor. I did not replace mine myself, I had Ford do it. Carefull, the bolt holding the sensor is susceptable to the elements and can get rusted in side. This is what happened to mine for which Ford snapped the bolt. They were able to get the rest of the bolt out with out tap. My truck still has not stalled since replacement. Still have more power as well.

bachelor622,
PCV valve should be either sticking in the valve cover or in a hose that attaches to the valve cover. The hose will be about 3/4 inch in diameter. I can't remember which way it is on this truck.
