i just put a new 302efi in my 90 f150 4x4 and tried to crank it for the first time to set timing and i tried to crank and didnt so i tried agian and didnt start but it was still trying to with out the key in it. Any suggestions

one of my buds had a 90 f-150 the the 5.0 efi in it and his did the same thing and he put a starter on it at first but come to find out it was a ground out in the ignition itself so he bought a new ignition switch and that solved it all so you might be able to give that a try
