Where is the Part # for the DPEF switch? I have a 01 4.6 screw.I talked to dealer about part and they make two parts one for $30.00 and other oner for $75.00.

 

its on the sensor itself. There shouldn't be but one choice for 01. $28.00 list, and may be covered under warranty.

 

I have the 2001 SCREW with the 4.6l and there was a "recall" on those DPFE sensors. They will replace them as they go bad, but not before. There is an extra 2 years 24,000 mile warranty for that part.

I just had mine replaced under warranty. I'm at work now, but can post the part number from my receipt for you tomorrow.

Also I was told it was closer to $80.00, not $28.00

BTW I had one of the the newer plastic DPFE's (not aluminum), and the one they replaced it with was even different than my plastic one, so there are several "upgraded" versions of the plastic one.

 

Good new I guess, Took truck to dealership and it was covered under warranty. I guess that part is covered under warranty until 60K miles.Now they want to sell me all the maintenance that comes with 60K!!!!!
