Can I clean MAF without removing it?

I was thinking about spraying my MAF with a good Electronics Cleaner in the near future as preventative maintenance and was wondering:

Can I spray the MAF while it is in the Intake hoiusing? Or must it be removed? I understand it should be totally dry before starting the Truck.

It doesn't appear to be dirty, but I do use a K & N Drop in so I thought a quick blast with a quality cleaner might be a good Idea.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I sprayed the MAF sensor on my mom's Explorer with an electronic parts cleaner and it resulted in a noticable increase in fuel mileage (about 1-1.5 MPG to be exact). I did not disassemble anything except the tube between the filter box and the intake.
