Unhappy Check Engine Light On

The vehicle is a 1996 F-150 with the 5.0L engine. The problem started out as poor performance at highway speeds with bucking and hesitation. I've changed the fuel filter and added KR-44 injector cleaner. Now the check engine light is on in addition to the engine running poorly. I do not have any diagnostic tools.
Is there anything I can do to solve this?

Thanks!

jjr999,

Drop by you local Autozone or parts chain, they will read your codes for you(in hopes of making a sell of coarse) then bring those code numbers back to this site to post them. Also give us some more info, the milage and any other things that have been done to you vehicle in the past if you know that history(like plug or coil changes) Then stand by for more than enough advise from the good people on this board.

Welcome aboard,

Gene

Looks like a bad wire on cyl #2. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I had hesitation issues at speed on a 92 F150 with a 5.0 and it ended up being the EGR...check that if the number 2 wire isn't the only culprit.
