I have recently upgraded to a 100hp shot zex nitrous kit on my 5.4L and let me tell you, its definetely worth the money and relatively easy to install. Cut seconds off my quarter mile!

 

Coolest, is a 100 shot safe for your engine? What were your 1/4 mile times before & after the ZEX install?

 

HI!... I hope you have a chip and have compensated for the nitrous via timing changes. IF NOT, KABOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!

 

100 is safe assuming you are careful and dont use it at a lean air/fuel ratio. also may want to consider upgrading fuel pump.

No i did not adjust the timing chain directly however i did adjust the retard to 0 degrees. this is a zex "smart" kit, it monitors fuel pressure vacuum and air/fuel ratio. as long as you adjust the retard, you are ok at a lower H/P shot.

General rule of thumb is to retard your timing 2 degree's for every 50H.P of nitrous.

HI!... zraptor : I run LOW 14's with my truck in N/A trim. I'd probably go low 13's, high 12's with a 100 shot and a set of slicks.

 

Neal, all i have upgraded under the hood it the nitrous, MAF sensor, Throttle body spacer, and of course the nitrous. I dont have as much done as you.

HI!... Yes I realize you don't have as many bolt ons as me, but all my mods only made 80H.P (FLYWHEEL). Your ZEX kit starts you off with 20H.P more than that and then you do have the few mods that you have done.

 

Don't consider it. DO IT! The ford pump died out on me and I got detonation...

Also, don't mind Neal... he said stuff to me about him being N/A and fast when I got my nitrous... I don't think he likes nitrous.
