Unhappy Error P1747 and Overdrive light blinks?

Today while I was driving home, my OverDrive light was blinking and the Service Engine turn on. I stop by Advance Auto parts and check the computer and I got error P1747. I found out P1747 means Electronic Pressure Control Solenoid - Short Circuit. After 15 minutes the Overdrive light stop blinking. I reset the Computer at Advance Auto Parts. The F150 still is acting up.
Like some metal sound and the tranny running rough. I just went to put gas on my truck and pulling out my drive way and made a scraping noise, then it started working fine. Is there a reason why this is happening. I check all my fuses. All of them are okay. What can it be causing this problem?.

P1747 EPC solenoid short circuit:
It can be a short circuit in the wiring harness or the PCM shorted to ground. It can also be a faulty solenoid.
Crawl under there and follow your transmission wiring harness to ensure you don’t have chaffing or a pinch in the wiring. If not, you should consult with a tranny shop for a thorough diagnosis. Be sure they don't try to sell you a whole new tranny. Call ahead with this info and find someone reputable.

Wink I just remeber

I have some one from my church that I forgot that rebuilds transmission. I told him about my problem. The first thing he ask me was if I ever change the transmission oil? I bought the F150 with 136,000 miles. Now it haves 141,000 miles. Really I haven't change the oil. He says that the selinoid is inside the transmission. He was going to charge me $350.00 to change the selinoid, transmission fuild and filter. The Ford Dealer wanted $500.00 and they said they might have to bring the transmission down. My friend told me that to change the selinoid you don't have to bring the tranny down. Hopefully after this repair nothing else is wrong with my transmission. Ford wanted for a Re-manufacture tranny between $2500 - $3000 bill. My friend said that after he finish this job to pray that nothing else got damaged. Worse senario would be to re-build the transmission it would cost me $1500.00
