engine swap?

I was curious, if the 4.6 can be replaced with the 5.4 or are they different engine families. I have a 1999 F150 with a 4.6 and is running great now!! Thanks for any info, Wayne

The bolt pattern on the bell housing is the same. You can put a 5.4 in where the 4.6 was sitting. There are a few differences in the locations of some of the sensors but it is not a biggie. It is easier to use the wire harness from the 4.6 than to try to match up the 5.4 harness to the 4.6 PCM connector.

I have done a similar swap, I put a Lightning engine in place of my std 5.4.

I have ALL of the parts you will need, send me an e-mail for more.
