Unhappy My f150 problems

I'm wondering how many problems other people have had with their F150s? Mine is a 99 Supercab 5.4L 4x4 Offroad, which I bought new at the end of 99. I also got the dealer rustproof package. I change the oil every 2000 miles religously always with Motorcraft oil and filter. I changed ALL the fluids at 30K. I've towed 3 times. I rarely go off road and I don't abuse it. It has 52K on it now. My wife and I love to drive it, but I'm tired of finding new problems with it monthly!:
=scratch on tailgate repaired before I took it home from dealer
=bent rim from factory-replaced under warranty
=10K engine knock-replaced with 2000 engine under warranty
=19K windshield replaced due to stress crack
=25K door crack preventative repair (learned about here)
=26K trans fluid leak at radiator fittings (TSB 00-9-1)-radiator replaced under warranty
=28k rear differential pinion seal leak-seal replaced under warranty
=32K brakes pulsate-turned front rotors
=35K rear diff. shudder- limited slip clutch packs and side gears replaced under warranty
=49K noticed rust on inside lower lip of 3 of 4 doors and tailgate-still trying to get repaired under 5 yr. rust warranty
=50K brakes pulsate-turned all 4 rotors
=51K rear LS diff. shudders again-replaced fluid with LS additive, still shudders
=52K engine has started knocking again (eng. has 41K on it)- probably just drive it

Do I have a lemon, or am I just ****?
Thanks for letting me vent my frustration.

I only had the following problems, and all within the first year;
*number pad on door replaced
*wiper arms replaced
*rebalanced wheels
*replaced leather driver's seat bottom

The truck's been perfect otherwise.

I have a 97 F150 XLT extended cab. The only things that have been done are:
=Windshield Washer was slow to respond [fixed under warranty first week]
=rear differential leak at back cover [fixed under warranty first week]
=power steering seal leak [fixed under warranty first week]
=at about 70k shift lever seal started leaking, fixed myself in about 1 hour and changed fluid and filter same time.
=changed everything owners manual says to do at 60k
=75k first set of front pads and rotors
=77k starts to misfire under acceleration (still haven't figured this out)
=82k first set of tires

My 2000F150SupercabXLT4x4 has had the following problems:

40kplus - rear brake rotors warped a little, replaced with new from Autozone, they warped within 1k miles, let it go till later

77k Replaced two original tires because they cracked in the sidewalls all the way around, one on one side and the other on both sides enough to start losing air

80k miles performed brake job on the front and rear, Replaced the front rotors after beating the originals with BFH, Resurfaced the original rear rotors and LUBRICATED the caliper slides

80k Replaced the rear diff fluid and installed two bottles of modifier to get rid of trac lok chatter

80k replaced the right axle seal after dumping the diff fluid for the second time.

Now has 86k and no problem with rear rotor warping

This has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned over 50 vehicles.

Klittlej,

I have a 97 with the 4.6 and had some of the same problems. I cleaned out the Throttle Body with Throttle Body cleaner and changed the fuel filter.

There have been a lot of posts about cleaning the TB and clogged EGR ports.

Once I did this the engine was more peppy, no lags or hesitations and smoother ignition.

Eric,
I understand about the cleaning the throttle body inside, but the label on the TB says something to the effect that it is coated to keep it clean so it should not be cleaned. I noticed a little build up around top and bottom of butterfly (did not open the throttle to see past that point though). I will obtain some TB cleaner and do it. I must say though I changed the line that connects the PCV to the back of the TB and that eliminated the missing and hesitation but gas mileage still sucks at 13.5 and 14.5 around town (10mph towing a tandem Uhaul box trailer empty against the wind at 60-65 mph, above that overdrive could not handle it). I would guess perhaps cleaning it would improve gas mileage a little (sure cannot hurt).
