I have a 93 f150, im not sure what it is but when im going down the rd the truck runs fine but when i come to a stop at a stop sign it stalls out. My machanic thinks its the tranny. i just need help.

 

Can you tell us a little more about your truck?
6 or 8 cylinders? auto or manual, carburator or fuel injection? etc

If I had to guess, I would have to ask.. When was the last time you had a tune up done on this truck?

 

I don't know if your 93 has an IAC (Idle air control) valve but if it does then I would suspect a problem with it first.

Are all your vacuum hoses connected and in good condition?
