Has anybody with a 5.4 or 4.6 2v V8 ever installed performance cams? If you did, was it the Crower cam called "BAJA BEAST" design for low end torque?

For what it's worht, I put a crower "baja beast" in a chevy 350 back in the early 80's. The engine would pop and spit until about 3k rpm and then, man-o-man, did it come to life!!! I ended up pulling out about 6 months later as it was just too obnoxious for the street.
