Angry Spark plugs

Help!!!!

I have a "97" F150 XLT with the 4.6L Triton. Only 75,000 miles. I just changed the spark plugs and made the mistake of putting in Bosch Platinum II plugs. Now, I am having trouble with my plug wires staying attached. I have atleast three plug wires back off of the plug within 10-15 minutes after driving.

What should I do!!!! Change the plugs and install Motorcraft plugs or change the stock plug wires instead?

Thx,

Stephen

I put Bosch Platinums in my 97 4.6L and have had no problems at all. The increase in performance over the factory plugs was amazing.

Might want to change your plug wires instead.

Did you replace the plug wires aswell? Or just the plugs?

I think the problem is the Bosch Platinum plugs are a little shorter than the standard motorcraft plugs and the stock plug wires are having trouble staying connected.

Stick with stock Motorcraft plugs. Bosch are a waste of money, and they aren't as good for our engines. If you want to spend a little more go with NGK or Denso, which will not be worth it unless you have a fair amount of mods.

MOTORCRAFT RULES

MOTORCRAFT PLUGS AND WIRE ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO ON THESE TRUCKS. TRIED SEVERAL STOCK PERFORM AND LAST THE LONGEST
