Unhappy 88 f150 blues

this question is getting really tired !
4.9 EFI she keeps stalling when cold{idles eraticaly then quits}once its warmed up it will smoke the tires into 3rd gear....i have changed every sensor ...could not find a vacuum leak any where.i had to set the timing by ear,the timing mark on the balancer would not line up?
is there any thing i can try ,besides spending way to much at my local ford dealer.......i should mention the codes it comes up with are saying a ground fault ?the engine light flashes but goes out under acceration

There are about 14 electrical plugs intertwined with the Module. Go to the auto parts store and get electrical contact lubricant, and lubricate all of your plugs, as well as the module itself. If that doesn't help, your module may be shot, they run about $100.
