Your belt may be worn, loose or contaminated with an engine fluid like oil.

How old is your belt?

How many miles on the belt? Mine started making a lot of noise at about 75k and took a look and it seemed to have a lot of cracks in it. Put a new OEM belt on and took care of the noise.

If the belt is ok the next thing to consider is the automatic tensioner.

Angry Serpentine pully came off today

Today the pully that covers the harmonic balance sheared off in regular traffic. No apparent cause, although I suspect that was because the belt came off. 20K miles ago I replace the drive belt and have not had an idication there was a problem.
Any thoughts as to cause?
