I have an 03 F-150 king ranch supercrew 4x4 with the 5.4L v8. I have been looking at intake and air cleaners for about $150 that claim to add 15 hp. Is an intake a good way to squeeze power? What are some other things I could do for a few hundred bucks to get a little more power?

same as above....but add a FTVB to your tranny too to help with the ~40 HP you'll get.

 

the 15hp gain claimed by the intake makers is the most hp15 they have gained on ANY set up not on these trucks. you are more likely to get 0-8 hp gain.

I would still reccomend one just because the throttle response is better.

 

Thanks, I forgot to mention that I have cat-back dual exhaust(flowmaster) which has given me more power already.
