Plugged Injector?

97' 4.6 with 146K mi.
On a recent road trip I Sea-Foamed knowing I would be doing 500 miles for the weekend and the truck had a slight rough spot in the middle that I wanted to clear up. On the return trip the truck started bucking in the mid-range. Starts and idles fine but it protests anything else. Figured the sea-foam knocked something loose so I swapped the filter and it was much bettter for about a week and then it went downhill again.

Yesterday I got a check engine light and had it read. Mis-fire in cyl no 3. So, now I'm planning on swapping plugs and probably wires too. Just read about the injector electrical connections so I'll clean them up too.

My question is about the injectors themselves. If it is plugged can I fix it myself ? (easily?) OR will it have to be replaced ?

can someone tell me which is the #3 cylinder too please.

Thanks for the help.

Don't know how you can repair your injector, usually a shop can do a chemical injector cleaning on all your injectors.

From the front of the truck, no. 3 cyl. is the 3rd plug back on the passenger's side.

4 . 8
3 . 7
2 . 6
1 . 5

Thanks for the tip.

I replaced the #3 wire and plug and also cleaned the injector connection. That cured my problem. I'll finish the rest tomorrow and should see some improvements in my mileage.
