Question Engine Fire

Ok I need a little help here. I have a 2000 f150 with a 4.6l EFI-SOHC 8 cyclinder. Last week my engine caught fire. The vehicle was parked and had been sitting there for several hours. Has anyone else heard of or had this problem? Thank you.

i think there was a recall to check fuel lines inbetween the firewall and engine that they could rub through causing a leak.

True on the recall. I was one of the first to report that problem. My fuel lines cracked behind the engine spewing fuel on the hot exhaust. Luckily mine didn't catch fire.
