Maf

Where is the MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) located on my 1994 F150 4x4 truck with 5.0 EFI eng. Thanks, Mike

It's located on the drivers side almost right in the middle. It sits about 6-10 inches directly in front of the master cylinder. The connector plugs in from the front of the engine compartment and is visible from the top.

This maybe a silly question, but was the 1994 a MAFS, or a SD ( speed density ) engine ?

I thought stock was a SD, that is unless it was converted to MAFS.

The SD engine would have 2 tubes, one large, one small vs. the MAFS which is one large tube.

Just what might be a silly question, maybe I have my years wrong for SD engines ???

My 1994 F150 302 4x4 was a speed density. I think the switch came in 1995 or 1996...

If equipped, according to spec sheets in the Ford Masters svc manual, that's where it will be. I can't tell you if yours is equipped or not. I believe California emissions were equipped and SD's were also produced that year, but the only way to tell is pop the hood and take a look.
