How much horsepower in my 1998 f150 with 4.6l v8 compared to 4.2 l v6 and 5,4 l v8?

 

i believe you have about 230hp with the 4.6 the 5.4 has 260hp and not sure about the v6 ofcourse this is at the engine stock and rating from the factory so they can vary but hope that gives you a ball park figure. oh and the new 5.4 has 300hp. can anyone confirm?

 

for the 1998:

4.2L 205hp
4.6L 220hp
5.4L 260hp(I believe)

The 4.xL's are right I know that for sure.

 

I think the 97 & 98 5.4's had 235 hp... Sometime in 99 they started using the PI heads and then were rated at 260 hp...

 

That is correct. 235 HP in the pre-PI 5.4 ltrs.

220 HP (rated as low as 210) on the non-PI'd 4.6L
