Not an engine question... but..

for lack of a more popular place to post: I've been having problems w/ my horns on my pickup. Every 6-8 months i have to put a set on. Now granted i've never put a *new* set on, because i usually get them from a salvage yard because they are cheaper that way, usually 6-8 bucks a set. Anyone have any suggestions on what would cause them to go out so much, and no, i don't use it very much if ever, occasional beep when using the keyless. Also where would be a good source to get a new set that could last a little longer? thanks

Are you sure they are actually bad? I mean are you cleaning the contacts etc and retrying them or just tossing them because they don't seem to work? Is there a possibility they ever go off when you don't hear them? Here in MN when it gets extremely cold I have seen steering wheel pads warp and set horns off for hours at a time (while I was at a movie, oops, sorry neighbors!). I disconnected them but then they no longer worked after they cooled off. If all else checks out Ok I'd say just get a new set, aftermarket ones are not much more.
