PCM Question

There is a Diesel chip maker in my local area who is now expanding to the Gasoline market. Anyway they appear to be high tec & reputable (my bosses son also works for them) They want me to bring my 98 F-150 so they can pull info off of the PCM so they can start developing this new chip for the F-150's , once it's done they will give me a free program & dyno my truck

guess my only concern is can they screw my PCM up or should this not be a concern?? Any idea would be appreciated

If they're that reputable and high-tech, they should offer to replace it if they screw it up.

uinthas,

Yeah. Tell them you're more than willing to help. You're excited about the project. But you want to be assured you're truck/pcm won't be damaged. Get it in writing! It might be a little uncomfortable, but it is reasonable to ask.

I would feel comfortable with it in writing.. Actually this company is Edge performance (they have been featered on "trucks") spike TV. My neighbor has a 01 Supercrew he's going down also so we'll see if his breaks first
