Oil Pressure on Odometer

I checked the oil pressure on my odometer and it is reading O with the engine running. The normal oil pressure guage is reading normal. Is this something to be concerned with???

P.S. For those that don't know you can scan your computer outputs for fuel level, eng. temp, speedo, tach and error codes as well as other things on your odometer by holding it in while starting your truck. You can then toggle through these things by pushing odo button.

OIL Displays the code (0-255) for the oil pressure switch input to the HEC. Oil pressure gauge will indicate present oil pressure. Normal oil pressure (greater than 6 psi) will display a value between 000 and 176. A low oil pressure (less than 6 psi) or an inoperative engine oil pressure switch will display a value greater than 176. So don't worry about the 0 reading.

The only error codes you will get are codes for the HEC, Hybrid Electronic Cluster. So if a system that sends info to the Instrument Cluster fails, like the fuel sender for example, it will set a code that can be read in this fasion. This trick will work on 99 and newer trucks.
