Angry Engine failsafe mode

No Luck Yey with my F-150! Have made repeated calls to dealer and they still say that Ford has yet to authorize any repair other than flashing computer, which service mgr. admitted will do no good. Ford website customer satisfaction has not been in touch with me yet, after two e-Mails. My truck goes into failsafe mode almost immediatly upon starting now and will not go out of mode upon restart like it did last week. Funny thing is that it seems to fault just as I step on the gas. (Throttle Body???) I am becoming a very dissatisfied Ford customer!!

Let them reflash the PCM. If it doesn't fix it then push for more. What is making it go into failsafe? The trigger is usually an over heat condition that comes from the cylinder head temperature sensor some where in the range of 220°C. If the PCM is miscalibrated and is goes into failsafe at a lower temp like say 90°C then a reflash with the proper calibration should take care of the problem. Does the temp guage spike when it goes into the failsafe mode? If it does then you may have a deffective sensor. If it doesn't then maybe the PCM is at fault.
