Over on modulardepot.com there is a lengthy thread on what kind of plugs to use. They give a complete rundown on what plug part #'s are what. Its very usefull for the guys who need colder plugs.
My question is running copper better then running platinum? They say the motorcraft platinums are better for longevity not performance and that the coppers will give you a better spark. Is this true?

97f150f/s; In answer to your query yes the copper will give much better preformance than platinum, but yes it will not last as long
as the platinum ones, idle and true cold starting [20 degrees & lower] will suffer. I am personaly weighing out the options on a couple of sets of the denso iridium for both of my mods a 5.4 in a 98 expy & a 4.6 32valve intech lincoln motor, these are supposed to be the best of both world's.

i've also thought about the denso it-16's. How long would the coppers last? I do have to deal with cold starts so i dont want to hamper that. You should check out the lenthy thread on the plug topic.

Recently I installed a set of Bosch Platinum+4's in both, my 92 Lincoln Towncar with a 4.6L and my boat with 5.7L LT1 motor. In both cases the vehicles ran better. I plan on continuing to use them in other motors
